    Mysterium - The Board Game

Mysterium is a cooperative board game designed by Oleksandr Nevskiy and Oleg Sidorenko. It was first published in 2015 by Libellud and has gained popularity for its immersive and intriguing gameplay. The game is set in the 1920s and revolves around solving a murder mystery with a supernatural twist.

In Mysterium, players take on the roles of psychic investigators who are called upon to solve the murder of a ghost haunting an old mansion. One player assumes the role of the ghost, providing clues to the other players, who act as the psychics. The ghost cannot speak and can only communicate with the psychics through a series of abstract vision cards.

The game is played over several rounds. In each round, the ghost player hands out a set of vision cards to the psychics, each representing a cryptic and artistic image. These images are meant to convey information related to the suspect, location, and weapon involved in the murder. The psychics must interpret the images and use deduction to determine which suspects, locations, and weapons are relevant to each vision card.

After the psychics have discussed and made their guesses, the ghost player reveals the correct or incorrect answers. If the psychics guess correctly, they move on to the next set of vision cards, gradually unraveling the mystery. If they are incorrect, they have the opportunity to refine their guesses and try again in subsequent rounds.

The game's central challenge lies in the limited communication between the ghost and the psychics. The visions provided by the ghost can be ambiguous or require creative interpretation, adding an element of suspense and intrigue. The psychics must work together, sharing information and theories, to solve the mystery before time runs out.

Mysterium accommodates 2 to 7 players, making it a versatile game for different group sizes. It offers a unique and immersive experience, combining elements of deduction, cooperation, and storytelling. With its captivating artwork and challenging gameplay, Mysterium has become a popular choice for fans of cooperative board games and murder mysteries.
